Sr. Diann Watson, 48, of Davenport, Iowa died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 27th at Harvest Time Family Worship Center, 636 Kirkwood, Davenport, where her family will greet friends from 11AM until time of service. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the church. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, is assisting her family with arrangements.

Diann was born in 1965 in Widener, Arkansas, a daughter of Guy Watson Sr. and Louise Blanton. Diann graduated in 1983 from Central High School, Davenport, and later attended Scott Community College. Diann's passion was working with children, for whom she held a variety of jobs, including several years as a teacher's aide at Sacred Heart Cathedral School, in-home day care, serving as a foster care parent, and most recently as a devoted mother and homemaker. Diann knew and loved the Lord and was a faithful and loyal member of Harvest Time Family Worship Center, where she served in many areas including Sunday school teacher, Youth Ministry worker, Children's Church Ministry teacher, Church Prayer Warrior and supporter of the Children's Ministry of Haiti.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children: Ityleonia Watson, Jayme Watson and Imunique Watson, all of Davenport; sisters: Zettie (Harry) Head of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Mary Watson and Katherine (Roy) Hearn, both of Davenport, and Brenda (Michael) Watt of Cedar Rapids, IA; and brothers: Guy (Bonnie) Watson Jr. of Widener, Arkansas, Sylvester Watson of Des Moines, Iowa, Henry (Denise Hill) Watson and Milton (Tammie Putt) Watson, both of Davenport. She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers: Ernest Watson and Alonzo Watson; and sisters: Pearlie Allen, Emma Watson and Lebertha Watson.
