Dave was born in 1952 to Calvin and Virginia Whiskeyman in Lancaster, PA. He married Lauri Vair on May 24, 1992 in Davenport.

Dave attended Columbia College in Chicago and graduated in 1976 with a degree in film. Dave then worked at the Chicago Board of Trade before moving into the real love of his professional career--radio. He worked at radio stations in Pontiac and Plano, IL before coming to KRVR Radio in Davenport in 1983. Dave spent many years at KRVR as both operations manager and announcer.

In 1992, Dave officially left radio to open a video production company, Whiskeyman Productions, which he owned and operated until his death. In January 2008, Dave was happy to once again be involved in radio when he began working for Clear Channel Radio in Davenport where he did a variety of jobs, including promotions and fill-in work on air for MIX 96, WLLR, and WOC.

In 2009, Dave received his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do from the Chung Kim Black Belt Academy, an accomplishment he was very proud to achieve.

Dave is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lauri, and two children, Rachel and Danny. He is also survived by his mother, Virginia Whiskeyman; sister, Lisa (Gary) Hardy, both of Lititz, PA; brother Mark (Jen) Whiskeyman of Bel Air, Maryland and 12 nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Whiskeyman and infant daughter, Elizabeth.
