William H. Rogers, 86, of Davenport, Iowa passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Manor Care Health Services, Davenport. Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 27th at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. Rogers was born in 1923 in Davenport, to Charles and Minnie Rogers. A life-long resident of Davenport, he graduated in 1941 from Davenport high School. Bill served in the Navy during WW II, both in the states and in the South Pacific. On February 7, 1948, he married Rosemary Ward in Davenport. He worked as a maintenance clerk with Caterpillar, retiring in 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary, and his son, Kirby, both of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty.
