Doris Mae Thee DLouhy, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at her home. Celebration of Life services will be held Monday, July 19, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be 12:00 noon. until time of service. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery, Davenport.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Davenport, or Scott County Humane Society.
Doris DLouhy was born to Bernice and Chris Thee in Davenport, Iowa. She married Wencil A. DLouhy in 1941 in Davenport. He died in 1987. Doris retired in 1986 after 23 years as an Administrative Assistant at Northwest Bank and Trust. She was a member of American Business Women for over 46 years. She attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church and belonged to American Turners. She loved to travel, work in her garden, and her pets.
Survivors include a son, James (Karen) DLouhy, Nederland, Colorado; and a grandson, Daniel Dlouhy. Among additional survivors, Betty Hey, caregiver for three and a half years, will dearly miss her friend, Doris.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Robert Thee, and a sister, Alyce Reilly.
