Grady Robinson, 72, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at his home. Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 6th at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge, Davenport, with Rev. Scott Minteer officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesis VNA Hospice.

Grady was born in 1937 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Grady and Helen Robinson. He married Janis Millett on June 4, 1955 in Waterloo, Iowa. He worked for 20 years as a system analyst for ALCOA. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Davenport. In addition to enjoying everything and anything in which his grandchildren were involved, he was an avid fan of the Bettendorf Bulldogs and any of their athletic programs. He enjoyed golf, and watching his grandchildren participate in sports.

Survivors include his wife, Janis; mother, Helen Robinson of Cedar Falls, IA; daughter, Diane (Patrick) Golembiewski of Northfield Center, Ohio; sons, Michael (Cheryl) Robinson of Chicago, Steve Robinson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Ron (Kris) Robinson of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Chris (Shawna) Robinson, Nicole Robinson, Angela McQuaid, Titus and Silas Robinson, Allison and Dan Robinson, Andrew and Larisa Golembiewski. He was preceded in death by his father.
